For the animals
I don't eat animals because they are conscious. I believe humans should care for all beings.

Why I'm vegan
When I was eight, our family dog was my whole world. Any story about people harming or eating dogs made me so upset, and around the same time I learned that pigs are even more intelligent than dogs. I realized there was no way I could have compassion for one and subject the other to some of the worst conscious experiences on earth.
I became vegetarian, and after four years and learning about the intense suffering caused by the dairy and egg industries, I went vegan.
The ephemeral taste you experience from eating the body of a conscious being is not worth the unimaginable suffering they endure.
Support animals with your donation
These are the groups I donate to and follow closely. They win policy changes, expose cruelty that would stay hidden, and keep pressure on companies long after the headlines fade.
The Humane League (THL)
Their Open Wing Alliance keeps big food brands on the hook. I’ve watched them post updates when a company drags on cage-free or broiler standards, and that public pressure moves deadlines.
SupportMercy For Animals (MFA)
They’re the folks releasing undercover footage and then showing up with lawyers and campaigners the same week. Every investigation comes with a plan to make the supplier fix it.
SupportAnimal Equality (AE)
AE will stay on one company for as long as it takes. Their 600-day push that got Denny’s back on board with ending gestation crates is why I keep them on my list.
SupportVisit rescued animals
Nothing compares to meeting the individuals you're helping. These sanctuaries welcome visitors and volunteers.
