What this project is testing.

High-voltage wood art makes branching burn patterns because current searches for paths across a damp, conductive surface. As one path chars, it changes the local resistance and steers the next branch.

The science is a mix of electric fields, conductivity, heating, and runaway path formation. It is visually striking, but also extremely dangerous, so the useful takeaway is the physics of dielectric breakdown and branching, not a build recipe.
